Saturday saw the first team relegated from Division 1 in a last over defeat at Whitstable.
Winning the toss - we have been good at that - we chose to bat first and the new opening partnership of Beau Couldrey (39) and Finn Bryan (33) cruised to 79 before Finn fell.
Finn is a product of our colts system and having debuted in the 1st team this season has been one of our best performers and bodes well for our future.
Sadly Finn's demised led to an all to usual collapse and at 107-8 it was left to the skipper Simon Routh (38*) and Rhys Morgan (21) to get the score to 179 at the end of the innings.
Connor Byrne (10-3-22-3) got the bowling off to a good start and Rhys Morgan, Andrew Eddicott and David Giles also bowled well but the Whitstable middle order performed - late wickets for Hayes saw Whitstable needing runs from the last over with only wicket remaining - sadly a dropped catch meant Whitstable sneaked over the line but they will also join us in Division 2 next season.
The 2's sealed promotion in a win over Old Colfeians in a match we have already reported on - 50's for Martin Pratt (51), Tomas Gallagher (65) and Finlay Baker (53*) saw Hayes post 248-8.
Old Colfeians openers fell to Stuart Eddicott (13-5-27-4) as he recovers from a side strain and Finlay followed up his impressive batting with 8-2-17-2, leaving Old Colfs struggling on 52-7 - a late flourish saw them get to 143 before Hayes gained the win that assured promotion.
A great season for Sam Davis and his side.
The 3's travelled to our friends at Petts Wood and batting first struggled to 136 all out.
Delrick Adikari (30), Shakil Bhuiyan (28) and Eftekhar Alam (22) provided the runs as Ex Hayes players Ben Hatton and Andrew Symonds took wickets against former friends.
The Hayes bowlers were on form and with wickets tumbling regularly, Petts Wood were all out for 133 and an agonising 3 runs short.
The 3's cemented 2nd pace in their Division and have a key game against the league leaders on Saturday.
The 4's entertained Dartfordians on The Meadow and Dartfordians batted first.
Isabel Steet (7-0-21-2), Lewis Thisleton (6-1-25-2) and George Fisher (6-024-3) starred with the ball as Dartfordians were held to 137.
Adam Greenway (66) made quick inroads into the total and Joe Lambourne (31*) and Joseph Cotton (19*) saw Hayes get home with the minimum of fuss!
Sunday saw the all conquering Development side travel to Darfordians and with 3 wicket a piece for Mark Trevatt (6-2-16-3) and Tom Davis (8-4-13-3) Hayes dismissed the opposition for 65.
Finn Bryan (26) and Liam Buttery (19) saw Hayes cruise to a comfortable 8 wicket victory and finish the season as Champions of their Division.
The Legends hosted Dulwich Wanderers and batting first, Sean Thisleton (45), Marc Wheatley (46), Michael Robertson (36) and Cameron Low (34) saw Hayes post 216.
The Dulwich reply was halted at the start with William Hadley (6-2-24-3) and Isabel Steet (6-1-13-2) took early wickets. Sean Thisleton (2-0-4-2) mopped up the tail and a Dulwich succumbed for 100.
Despite the relegation for the 1st team, a great weekend for all involved and lots of promise for the future with all our juniors contributing!
