Sweep for Hayes!

Hayes Hurricanes hosted St Lawrence in the Womens Premier League and skipper - and stand-in wicketkeeper - Lottie Bryan asked St Lawrence to bat.

Alice Davidson Richards (10-3-15-4) was soon amongst the wickets, removing the top 3 and with great support from Chelsey Rowson (4.4-1-11-2), St Lawrence struggled and despite some middle order resistance, were dismissed for 102 in the 34th over.

Having starred with the ball, Alice (77*) proceeded to make short work of the run chase and with Chelsea (20*) Hayes sauntered home in the 16th over.

The Development side made he journey to Hartley, who won the toss and opted to bat first.

Jason Thompson (5-1-16-1) bowled a tight opening spell and with Finlay Baker (7.4-2-25-4) amongst the wickets, Hartley were bowled out for 143 in the 40th over.

Hayes started strongly and Finnan Bryan (59), Liam Buttery (31) and Connor Daniels (54*) made short work of the total, cruising home in the 29th over.

The Legends hosted Goldleaf on The Meadow with skipper Pete Jones looking to continue his winning streak.

Asked to bat, Sean Thisleton (53) and Shrijeet Desai (63) got Hayes off to a fine start and with Hayden Walsh firing a rapid 50 in 16 balls, Hayes went to tea on 222-5.

Cameron Low (6-0-26-3) proved the pick of the Hayes bowling and with Hayden (3-0-18-2) also amongst the wickets as Pete rotated his attack.

Goldleaf ending up with 152 for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 35 overs.
