Hayes had the pleasure of hosting an international women's team playing a Kent Invitational team last Tuesday.
The visiting team were sponsored by FAIRBREAK, which is a charity promoting women's opportunities through sport.
Players from 9 countries were represented including 4 international captains (Scotland, Botswana, Hong Kong and Netherlands).
The visitors batted first and made 234.
The Kent team included young County Age Group players, and showed strength and determination in battling to within 20 runs!
They faced Sana Mir from Pakistan, who was the ICC bowler of 2018 and bowled 4 maidens, then fortunately for Kent, retired to the field.
Hayes were pleased to contribute Sydney Gorham, Ryana Macdonald-Gay , Jemima Ringham and Tansi Price to the Kent team.
The players exchanged gifts at the end of the match and then stayed for a while to enjoy the men's T20 that followed and the BBQ - both sides pictured.
FAIRBREAK carried on to play at Wormsley and then play the MCC before returning to their home countries.
We hope to host their game again next season and also have the beautiful weather as well!
