Sunday Legends Continue Winning Streak - Tomas Gallagher homes in on 1000 runs

But first news of last weeks missing Women!

Eventually arriving back, we hear that the Hurricanes finished their season with a resounding victory over Horsham at their lovely county ground.

Horsham were 145 all out with Chiara Green 9-1-23-4 and Laura Marsh 8-2 -14-3 starring with the ball and Hayes got home with 146 for 2 off 28.3 overs

Chiara (25) Laura (45) and Lottie Bryan (47*) bringing the season to a successful conclusion.

Yesterday morning saw Legends skipper Sam Millard resort to Facebook to try and get last minute replacements as 3 of his stars succumbed to Saturday on the Ale! However he need not have feared as a full strength Hayes side proved too much for a 9 man Beckenham side!

Hayes finished on 210-7 with Tomas Gallagher (56) and Liam Buttery (43) starring - wickets were shared around as Beckenham succumbed for 133. Scott Gallagher taking 2 wickets.

With 1 match to go Tomas is on the verge of becoming the youngest Hayes player for some time to score 1000 runs for the season - infact over the past 15 years this a feat only achieved by Jamie Askew (twice), Tristan Dixon and Hugh Ingram (both overseas). Tomas needs 17 more runs on Sunday and will be hoping the skipper doesn't reverse the batting order!

Scott also needs 1 more wicket to take 40 for the season following on from his 48 last year!

The Legends are at home to St Mary's in the traditional final game of the season - come along and give them a cheer!
